Portable dehumidifiers are also handy for a number of other reasons. You can move these from room to room, and you can take them with you when you move. The Whirlpool AD25BBK Dehumidifier is a highly rated portable dehumidifier from a well trusted brand. The added advantage to this is that it retails for under $120. The unit is well liked for its efficiency, easy usability and its relative quietness (although it does have a persistent hum). One other nice thing about this unit is that it is very small, with a small bucket. That makes it very portable.
The Soleus CFM-25 Dehumidifier is also a “25 pinter.” The bucket is only half that size, but this portable unit can remove 25 pints of humidity from the air within a single day. In early reviews, this unit is very well liked, and it can retail for as low as $140.
The Soleus CFM-40 Dehumidifier is even more well-liked. It’s slightly larger and slightly more expensive, of course, but it’s also more robust. This can remove up to 40 pints of water in a 24-hour period.
Fedders A7DH65B2A Dehumidifier is a larger unit that still retails for less than $200. It’s also very well liked in consumer testing. This can remove up to 65 pints in a 24 day. The bucket is just over 17 pints in capacity.

It can cover an area of 1200 square feet with the windows and doors shut and can extract up to 58 pints of water a day. It’s also very stylish-looking. It retails in the range of $300.
The Comfort-Aire Low Temperature 65 Pint (Model # 651) is a fairly regular looking model with all the regular features. Its boxy design and affinity for low temperatures may not make it the prettiest dehumidifier on the market, but it is a sensible one. It’s a high grade model that retails for approximately $350.
The Whirlpool 70 Pint Electronic Dehumidifier – Model # AD70U is another fine portable dehumidifier from a trusted brand. As with many (but not all) portable dehumidifiers, this model does generate some customer complaints about the noise level.
